From Harlem, With Love

One Harlem students wish for her Detroit sisters.

Dear Unofficial Little Sisters:

Although you can’t put a name to a face just yet, my name is Tanay Davis and I’m a senior in high school.  I’m writing this letter to let you in on a little secret. The program you are about to join will change your lives for the better! The sisterhood you will find is something that you will cherish for the rest of your lives . As a member of Figure Skating in Harlem for the past 11 years (yes I know it’s a long time) I can tell you that I don’t know where, or who, I would be without this program. Treat this opportunity like a lucky golden ticket and hold on as tight as you can . I love you all so much without even meeting you! I know you girls will be future doctors, lawyers, Olympians, and many other great things. I can go on because the sky is the limit! If you put all of your efforts into it, I promise you will reap all of the benefits. I wish Figure Skating in Detroit the best and I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that it will do great things. Remember to keep your head held high and always show your beautiful smiles. Lastly, have fun and get ready for the greatest adventure of your life

Love Your Big Sister,

Tanay
